BLM Founder Arrested After Hurling Abuse at Cop

( Founder of the Black Lives Matter Greater New York chapter, Hawk Newsome, was arrested in a Bronx criminal court after hurling obscenities and expletives at a court officer on-camera.

In a disturbing video that has gone viral on social media, Newsome, who is 6ft 6in tall, can be seen yelling at the officer. He threatened the officer to “beat the sh-t” out of him and called him a “f-uckin vagi-a.”

Newsome eventually received three summonses for obstructing governmental proceedings and behaving in a disorderly manner.

Later, Newsome explained that his vocal confrontation with the police officer was due to his concern for a drug suspect allegedly killed by another officer. He was attending court for this case when the officer approached him and asked his group to stop loitering in the court, which urged Newsome to start the confrontation.

Sgt. Erik Duran allegedly threw a water cooler at a man last summer who was selling drugs to plain-clothed police officers, resulting in his death.

Reportedly, the suspect was fleeing the police officers on a scooter after selling drugs to Duran and other officers who were involved in a buy-and-bust operation.

Duran threw a water cooler filled with soda cans at the suspect, who then lost control of his vehicle, smashed it into a parked jeep, and died instantly.

Councilwoman Vickie Paladino also trashed Newsome for his confrontational behavior towards the police officer. She said that even when officers try to retaliate a bit in such a threatening situation, they find themselves in trouble.

Paladino also stated that nowadays, criminals know that they will get away with their crimes, which urges them to push their boundaries and indulge in more illegal activities.

Newsome is a long-time anti-police activist. After the George Floyd murder, he claimed that the BLM was training a “military” to deal with police brutality and threatened the police to “riot” against them. He has been previously arrested for obstructing governmental administration after confronting police officers who were mediating between BLM and pro-Trump protesters.
