(FeaturedHeadlines.com) Foreign policy experts and former US officials are warning that Kamala Harris’s possible victory in the 2024 elections will put American national security at risk due to her little experience dealing with the international world.
Top Democrats are busy boosting Harris’s candidacy by claiming that she has extensive experience in foreign policy. Former Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry are among 350 signatories of a letter that claimed that Harris has met with over 150 global leaders apart from representing the United States in different international events, which makes her eligible to work with global leaders.
However, experts believe that she is not competent enough to deal with serious national security and foreign policy issues.
Michael Bars, who has previously served in the White House and the National Security Council, stated that Harris is a complete “novice” in dealing with the world.
Similarly, a senior defense executive at the Heritage Foundation, Victoria Coates, said that Harris is “absolutely not” qualified for important US foreign engagements and that she even failed to deal with the “root causes” of illegal immigration for which she was given a complete mandate by President Biden.
Coates added that Biden had a proper understanding of foreign issues due to his long public service career, but Harris’s progressive policies would only hurt the US global standing. Harris is not capable of engaging in tough conversations with global leaders like Chinese President Xi Jinping and US NATO allies, Coates added.
Harris’s controversial foreign policy approaches have repeatedly brought her under scrutiny. She supported Biden’s continuous financial aid to Ukraine and has pledged to back Ukraine “as long as it takes.” Experts suggest that neither Harris nor Biden has any idea how to end the Russia-Ukraine war and save the lives of innocent people in both countries and that unreasonable aid will only drag the war.
Harris has also made headlines for her controversial remarks on the Israel-Palestian war as she defended pro-Palestine protests in American universities, apart from scolding Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu on various occasions.
