Russian Foreign Minister Issues Clear Warning To U.S: “You Are Playing With Fire”

(FeaturedHeadlines.com) Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov warned the United States not to play with fire and to get out of the Cold War mentality.

Speaking to Russia’s state-controlled TASS news agency, Ryabkov noted that America is pursuing an indirect war with Moscow to advance its geopolitical interests, which will eventually lead to an unprecedented crisis.

Ryabkov also suggested that the US seems alienated from the dark realities associated with its behavior in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He slammed the Biden administration for forcing American allies to help Ukraine militarily in the ongoing conflict.

The deputy foreign minister also said that the US is making it difficult for Russia to analyze how NATO would respond in different situations. If the business goes as usual, Ryabkov continued, Russia will not respect any red line and will respond to the West in a reciprocal manner.

These comments came at a time when tensions between the two former Cold War rivals continue to rise amid the United States’ attempts to send more ammunition to war-torn Ukraine.

Moscow has long downplayed Western accusations that Putin is waging a war in Ukraine. Russia has labeled its war a “special military operation,” which they claim is a defensive effort to combat rising NATO ambitions in the region.

Many European leaders have also urged Ukraine to hit deep into Russian territory.

During his recent visit to Ukraine, David Cameron, the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom, stated that Kyiv could use UK weapons to bomb Russian targets, although he added that the final decision lies with Ukraine. US State Secretary Antony Blinken commented along the same lines.

Meanwhile, Russia has started military drills involving tactical nuclear weapons after “provocative” comments from the Western world.

Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and both leaders also urged the US not to focus on bloc formation but on broader regional security, which, according to them, has been jeopardized by US actions in the Russia-Ukraine war.
