Trump Slams Incompetent Biden Sleepwalking US Into a War

(FeaturedHeadlines.com) Former US President Donald Trump said during a speech in Pennsylvania that current officeholder Joe Biden is sleepwalking the United States into war with his weakness. Trump vowed to reverse course and achieve “peace through strength” if reelected in 2024.

Trump, who is the presumptive 2024 Republican Party presidential nominee, has been blasting Biden on the campaign trail for leading the US into potential conflicts in Israel and Ukraine. Trump has contended that Russia would not have attacked Ukraine and Hamas would not have attacked Israel if he were still president.

The US held respect on the world stage four years ago, whereas now the country is considered a joke, Trump said. Inflation in the US was pinned on Russia, but Biden is also to blame, Trump added.

Even Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he will listen “with pleasure” to Trump’s plans to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. Zelenskyy also said that he invited Trump to visit Ukraine, although the Trump campaign denied receiving such an invitation. Regardless, it would not be appropriate for Trump to visit Ukraine at this time as a private citizen, the campaign said.

The Biden administration has repeatedly said that it is up to Ukrainian leadership to determine the timing and terms of any peace negotiations with Russia. The administration has also warned that Ukraine risks major setbacks on the battlefield without further support from US taxpayers, via Congress.

US lawmakers are considering legislation to support Ukraine using frozen Russian sovereign assets, known as the Rebuilding Economic Prosperity and Opportunity (REPO) for Ukrainians Act. However, US Senator JD Vance warned that the bill could hinder future diplomatic efforts by Trump.

The legislation “makes it impossible” for Trump to engage in diplomacy with Russia if he is reelected, Vance said. Vance urged Republican lawmakers to reject the bill.

Although Trump is aiming to restore peace and stability as president, it appears Congress could prove as much a barrier as the current administration.
