Biden Campaign Scrambling After Chairwomen Already Concedes Florida

(FeaturedHeadlines.com) President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign is panicking as its chairwoman, Jen O’Malley Dillon, has already given up on Florida’s 30 electoral college votes.

Dillon stated that she does not consider Florida to be a battleground state where Donald Trump is currently leading by almost a 7.6% margin.

Dillon’s pessimism has sent shockwaves within Democrats who have since entered defense mode as Biden’s battleground states director, Dan Kanninen, stated that Florida is indeed a battleground state not only for Biden but also for other Democrats who will be running for different offices this November.

Kanninen claimed that the Biden campaign has a strong presence all over Florida, where the grassroots teams are busy mobilizing the voters, unlike Trump, who is not taking the state seriously.

Reportedly, the Biden campaign has hired 28 full-time campaign members in Florida who are working in 13 offices across the state.

Chairperson of the Florida Democratic Party, Nikki Fried, has also suggested that Biden has a reasonable chance to win the state. However, the chairman of the Florida Republican Party, Evan Power, dismissed this notion and claimed that Republicans would win the state comprehensively in the November elections.

A handful of Democrats who believe that their party has a realistic chance in Florida are majorly campaigning on the strict abortion ban of the state to attract women and young voters to the polling booths.

DNC’s deputy communications director, Abhi Rehman, noted that Democrats believe that Trump’s efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade gives them a fair chance to win the Sunshine State.

Rahman claimed that the consistent failures of Trump and Governor Ron DeSantis will play a crucial role in bringing Biden back to the White House after the 2024 elections.

Despite this optimism, Florida polling data is not favoring Democrats. Historically, Democrats outnumbered Republicans in voter registration in the state, but that trend has also reversed in recent times. The GOP has managed to register one million more voters in the state compared to the Democrats.
