Home Movers Training To Combat Human Tracking

(FeaturedHeadlines.com) A Florida-based moving and storage company is training its staff to combat the rising menace of human trafficking, which has marred the whole country in general and the state of Florida in particular.

Good Greek Moving and Storage partnered with the anti-human trafficking organization, Place of Hope. The company is now training its employees in its West Palm Beach Superhero Movers Academy, which is usually used to train staff members in their respective roles in the company to make the customer experience better.

According to the human trafficking expert of the Peace of Hope, Jamie Clanico, a small effort of one person in the right direction can save the life of another human being in trouble.

When asked what would employees of the Good Geek do if their children were the victims of human trafficking, one of the participants of the inaugural training class, Aneudy Vargas, stated that he could not even imagine facing this situation.

Good Greeks founder Spero Georgedakis explained that the trucks of his company travel all across the country, and they are well aware of the rest areas and truck stops, which are mostly the places involved in human trafficking. Georgedakis added that his employees would be trained to identify troubling situations at these stations and call 911 at the need of the hour.

Movers are still instructed not to engage with the potential human traffickers themselves due to security reasons. Instead, they are asked to contact their supervisors or inform the police about the situation.

Georgedakis is also a former police officer which means he is already trained to see the possibility of a crime in a different manner.

Good Greek operates almost 140 trucks and vehicles in Florida and employs more than 600 people.

Florida is the third most-affected state by human trafficking all over the United States, and Palm Beach County, where Good Greek mostly operate, is the third most affected region within Florida.
