Hollywood Actor Rescues Children From Home Invasion

(FeaturedHeadlines.com) Film and television actor Jonathan Tucker is frequently cast as a villain, but on June 2, Tucker succeeded in a very real act of heroism. Tucker saved his neighbors—a mother and her children—from an unexpected home invasion.

Tucker spotted a man talking to himself and knocking on doors in his neighborhood. Tucker called local authorities to report the suspicious man, but then realized that the door of one of his neighbors was ajar. The actor then quickly leapt into action to protect the family from the man in their house.

Tucker found the children and their mother frightened by the fact that an unknown man was roaming their home. The actor calmed the family down and led them outside to wait for police to arrive at the scene.

Law enforcement later confirmed that the man had entered their house. The man was taken into custody and placed on a mental-health crisis hold. Despite his own heroic actions, Tucker said that he considers the police to be the real heroes.

Footage of the incident from a security camera at the home shows the man talking to himself before entering the residence. Moments later, screams can be heard within the home. The footage also shows Tucker entering the home barefoot and carrying a bag with items he said could be used for protection if necessary.

The husband of the family, who was not home at the time of the incident and wished to remain anonymous, described the situation as a “traumatizing” experience. However, everyone is doing well, the man added.

Tucker began his acting career in the 1990s, having since appeared in dozens of productions. Tucker is known for his main role in the drama series “Kingdom” and horror films such as “The Ruins” and the 2003 remake of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.”

Considering his real-life heroism, which potentially prevented a real-life horror scene, perhaps Tucker will soon find himself cast as a star in action movies.
