(FeaturedHeadlines.com) Republican Senator and Trump running mate JD Vance took aim at Vice President Kamala Harris during a rally in Virginia, claiming that she is an even worse politician than President Joe Biden. Following Biden’s departure from the 2024 presidential race, Harris became the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee, putting her record in the spotlight.
Harris is a “million times” worse than Biden, Vance said. Moreover, as Biden’s potential successor, Harris will inherit the responsibility for Biden’s record as president, Vance said.
Vance also blasted Biden for dropping out of the presidential race but continuing to serve as president. If Biden is not fit to run for president, then he is not fit to serve in the leadership role either, Vance said.
Harris faces the possibility of impeachment for her role in covering up Biden’s alleged physical and cognitive decline. US Congressman Andy Ogles introduced articles of impeachment against Harris, accusing her of breaching public trust by misleading Americans about Biden’s health.
Ogles also accuses Harris of refusing to uphold US immigration law. The Biden administration tasked Harris with addressing the migration crisis at the United States’ southern border, but the crisis continues. Congresswoman Elise Stefanik also introduced a separate resolution condemning Harris’ handling of the border.
Harris may be forced to defend her record in a debate with Donald Trump, who said he would be willing to debate Harris as the presumptive Democratic nominee. Trump said that he and Harris have an obligation to debate as nominees.
Although the next presidential debate is set for September 10 on ABC News, Trump criticized the network, characterizing it as a “joke.” Nevertheless, Trump said that he would be willing to hold multiple debates with Harris, regardless of which network hosts them.
Harris is an easier electoral opponent than Biden, Trump also said. Harris is not the best possible candidate for the Democratic Party, Trump added.
By becoming the Democrats’ presidential hopeful, Harris opened herself up to increased attacks by Republican political rivals like Trump and Vance. However, the American people will decide in November whether she deserves to hold the White House with her contentious record.
